vTip #11 - Using Mortgagee Clauses with InterActive vForms

InterActive vForms has the ability to add numerous lenders and their mortgagee clauses for use with our customized InterActive forms. You can also have this clause automatically populate to your "Request for Insurance Binder" customized vForm included in your library of forms.

STEP ONE: ADDING AND EDITING LENDERS AND THEIR MORTGAGEE CLAUSES

(When instructions refer to "Click", this refers to clicking the top left side of your mouse unless specified otherwise)

  1. Open vForms.
  2. Click on Tools, Options.
  3. Click on the Mortgagee Clauses tab.
  4. To make changes to lenders and mortgagee clauses, Right Click in the lenders area.
  5. A drop down screen menu will appear giving you these options: Copy Clauses; Insert, Delete; and Save to XLS.

STEP TWO: INSERTING NEW LENDERS AND MORTGAGEE CLAUSES

  1. Click on Insert and a new line will appear.
  2. Type the name of the lender in the "lenders" area (MAKE SURE THE NAME IS TYPED EXACTLY AS IT WILL BE ENTERED INTO YOUR LOAN ORIGINATION SOFTWARE. THIS MORTGAGEE CLAUSE WILL AUTOMATICALLY POPULATE "THE INSURANCE BINDER REQUEST" CUSTOMIZED vFORM INCLUDED IN YOUR LIBRARY IF YOU HAVE ENTERED THE LENDER EXACTLY AS IT APPEARS IN YOUR LOS DATABASE SOFTWARE!
  3. Click in the Clause box with the "A".
  4. You can click in this box and type the correct mortgagee clause or you can click  on another lenders mortgagee clause, left click, hold down your mouse and drag the entire area highlighting as you go, right click your mouse, select  Copy, click into the new.

STEP THREE: DELETING LENDERS

  1. Right Click on the lender that you wish to delete.
  2. Click the Delete option.

STEP FOUR: COPYING ALL YOUR LENDERS TO AN EXCEL SPREADSHEET

  1. Right click on a lender in the Lender area.
  2. Select the Save to XLS option.

This will add all of your lenders to an excel spreadsheet.
