vTip #6
- Downloading your LOS Borrower/Prospect data into the
Windows Address Book using vForms
InterActive vForms has an advanced feature
allowing you to select a borrower or prospect from your loan origination
software system and download this information quickly into Microsoft Outlook or
the Windows Address Book. Once this data is in your contact management software
system, this data becomes available for additional client referrals and
marketing. The more contacts you can accumulate in a contact management
software program like Outlook, the more potential you have to advance your
business referrals and professional marketing image.
We will explain in a future
"vTip" how you can use InterActive vForms and the "RTF" email marketing
capabilities of the software to reach all the contacts you have accumulated to
promote your business. If you have these contacts in your Outlook or Windows
Address Book, InterActive vForms will give you an edge over your competition. To
see how to download your selected borrower's information from your loan
origination software (LOS) into your contact management software, you can use
the following steps.
Step
One: Selecting your Borrowers and downloading vital data into Outlook or the
Windows Address Book
(When instructions refer to
"Click", this refers to clicking the left top side of your mouse unless
specified otherwise)
-
Open
vForms.
-
Click on your "Borrowers"
or "Prospects" icons, selecting the icon that represents the borrowers or
prospects files that you wish to load into your contact management software.
-
The borrowers will appear
on the screen. The first column will be the name of your borrower or prospect
client.
-
Right Click on one of the
names listed. The menus will give you three options: (Customize View,
Save View, and as Address). The Customize View and
Save View options will be covered in future vTips.
-
Click on as Address Book.
-
A vCard will appear on your
monitor showing your borrowers data information.
-
Click on the box named "Save
and Close" at the top left section of the vCard.
-
Your client information
will be copied and transferred to your Outlook or Windows Address Book.
-
Select the next contact and
repeat the same process.
Step
Two: Checking your data in your Windows Address Book
-
Click on the Windows
Address icon marked "Addr Book" located next to the Libraries icon in
vForms or select your "Contacts" icon and view your Outlook database files.
-
Your address book
information will appear. You can double click on any contact name in the
directory and edit or add any additional data you may have on this contact.
-
Watch for a future vTip on
how to use the "RTF" automated email/letter tools incorporated in InterActive
vForms.
